Our workshops are critical for those who have either gone to college or have not. As I have stated before, most do not learn the critical skills, knowledge, and attitudes critical to achievement and happiness in career and life. Most are missing the 70 to 80% of the above and end up being those who work in a job they hate or lose 5 to 15 years before they make the discovery that they are not happy and something is missing.
The Majority of People Waste 5 to 10 Years Being Miserable Before Making Critical Changes
In a recent survey, 60% replied that they hate their job; they are not just OK with it or somewhat satisfied but HATE their job. There is also the statistic that 70% of graduates within 5 to 10 years of graduating are no longer working in a field related to their major. Having over 10 years of experience as a college professor I have talked to dozens of students who have made it clear to me that their choice of major was not done with much thought or understanding of the dire need to match personality / talents and abilities / desire / values with not only career but work environment. Most chose a major or career with about as much thought as goes into choosing an ice cream flavor when at the ice cream parlor.
Another fact to drive the point home that there is a dire need for the 70% to 80% missing from people’s training / education is that most come to self-help or self-improvement between the ages of 27 and 32. This is within the 5 to 10 year span of floating most people do because they have not been made aware of the critical need for self-analysis, success principals, and other skills, knowledge, attitudes taught in our workshops.
